Dear Parent or Carer

Because of the current restrictions and guidance with regard to COVID19, Shenfield High School will not be holding an Open Evening or any Open Mornings this year. We are very sorry not to be able to welcome visitors this year but, to ensure appropriate infection control, it is not feasible to have so many visitors on our site.

We know that many primary pupils and their parents rely on a visit to our school to help them decide whether Shenfield High School is the right pace for them. Without those visits this year, we will do our best to give you all the information and advice you need to help you make your decision. We hope you will still get a "feel" for our school.

On Thursday 1st October, our "Virtual Open Evening" videos will be available on our website. This will include my Headteacher’s Presentation, a virtual tour and videos from every department giving information about subjects, along with activities for pupils to undertake. Please explore the school website to find out other information about the school.

We intend to offer Y7 places to 240 students for September 2021. Our admission criteria is available on our website under Admissions tab. We offer 10% (24) of our places for aptitude in sport or performing arts. Sports Trials and Performing Arts Auditions will be taking place on Saturday 10th October. Further information is available under the Admissions tab on the school website.

Although we are sorry you will not to be able to visit Shenfield High School in person this year, we will try to provide you with everything you need to support your decision and we hope to welcome your child as a new member of our school in September 2021.

Yours sincerely

Ms C Herman
Headteacher
