Shenfield High School

Shenfield High Schools's year 7 boys were crowned Mid Essex 5-a-side football champions and with it earned the right to represent the district in the regional finals in January.
Having finished runners up in the group they met Sandon in the semi finals. They played some impressive passing football to dominate the game and win 2-0 with goals from Teddy Cutmore and Kieran Huddart.In the final they played BCHS. Shenfield continued to impress with their passing football and again dominated possession, coming away 2-0 winners with Huddart then Cutmore again scoring the goals to claim the district title.

Team coach and Head of PE Garry Sapsford remarked, "the boys are very excited to reach the regional finals of this national competition. Having made the national finals on 4 previous occasions we understand what it takes to do well in this competition. The boys will continue work hard in training to do all they can to qualify for the national cup and repeat the feat of our year 8 girls who finished 3rd in England last season."
