Audition Round 2 – Boot camp
Once the Junior Performing Arts Academy staff have viewed all self-tapes and gone through each application, you will receive an email to state whether your child has been successful in gaining an invitation to the second round of auditions.
The successful candidates will be invited to attend a boot camp on Saturday 11th October at 9.00am (a program of timings for the day will be sent out via email). This boot camp will allow us to see the candidates in group settings through singing, dancing and acting workshops. Students will be assessed on their ability to pick up and perform choreography, deliver script work, interpret characters and learn and perform vocal work and harmony parts.
All candidates will receive an email from Shenfield High School no later than Wednesday 22nd October 2025 with an aptitude score. The score is awarded based on a set of criteria for each Performing Arts discipline. You will receive an email stating whether the candidate’s performance was OUTSTANDING, GOOD or PROFICIENT.
You will then be contacted by Essex in March to say whether you have gained a place at Shenfield High School.
