Owen Burnett, Head Boy
My name is Owen, and I’m honoured to take the responsibility of Head Boy for the upcoming year. In the short time that I’ve been in the Sixth Form, I’ve felt a strong sense of community and belonging, and I’m genuinely looking forward to leading our Student Leadership Team to further foster a supportive, inclusive and motivated school environment.

I study law, sociology, and media, which I am thoroughly enjoying, and aim to further study law at a degree level to later take the SQE to qualify as a solicitor through a training contract under a financial institution. I believe the choice of my three A-Level studies reflect the core reasons why I wanted to become Head Boy: to better understand the people and environments around me, and to use that knowledge to drive positive change within our school community. And that’s exactly what I intend to thrive on doing!
I look forward to working with both staff and peers in the year ahead, while striving to be an inspiring and approachable role model for the whole school.

Abbie Watson, Head Girl
My name is Abbie and I am incredibly proud and excited to be Shenfield High School’s new Head Girl. Being chosen for this role is both a privilege and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Throughout my time at Shenfield, I have been fortunate enough to grow not just academically, but also emotionally and socially. I feel this would not have been accomplished if it wasn’t for the teachers and the support they have continuously provided for me during my six years here.

As Head Girl, I want to use this position as a platform to acknowledge and appreciate the needs of others, being a bridge between students and staff to create a positive school environment. I am currently studying sociology, business, and media for my A-Levels, which I thoroughly enjoy, and I am aiming to do a degree apprenticeship in banking and finance once I leave Sixth Form. I believe my choice of A-Levels have helped shape me into a strategic, confident, and strong communicator who is ready to lead by example and make a positive impact across the school and its community.
I’m truly excited to work alongside every member of our school community and to lead with positivity, passion, and a purpose, striving to be a role model who inspires others to be their best.

Hi, I'm Joseph, I am studying maths, physics and business and want to study physics at university. My goal for my role as Deputy Head Boy is to help and encourage students who feel they haven't felt able for whatever reason to make the most of the opportunity that Shenfield has to offer.
