The role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and talented practitioner to join our science department and enthuse the next generation of scientists. We welcome applications from science teachers of any discipline. From September all GCSE students will embark on Triple Science and all three sciences are taught at A level. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner or if new to the profession, will have the potential to be so, with the ability to inspire young people in the study of science and enable them to become scientifically literate citizens.


We are ambitious for the continued development of science provision here at Shenfield High School and want to recruit colleagues with creativity, talent and passion that they can use to communicate the magic of science to students across all phases.

The role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and talented practitioner to join our science and engineering department. Engineering is a popular choice at KS4 with eight groups currently running across years 10 and 11. The KS4 curriculum has the space available to accommodate creative input and a focus on interests. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner or if new to the profession, will have the potential to be so, with the ability to inspire the next generation of engineers.


We are ambitious for the continued development of engineering provision here at Shenfield High School potentially beyond KS4 and want to recruit colleagues with the knowledge and skills to support this. As well as applicants who are able to solely teach engineering, we are also interested to hear from applicants who can combine engineering with science and/ or maths.

Team Leader for Computer Science

TLR2C £7,841

Required for September 2024 a charismatic and dynamic individual to lead our Computer Science department. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner with the ability to inspire others to excel and the knowledge and ideas to continue the development of the Computer Science curricula for the benefit of all students across all phases.


Our department has two designated IT suites that have both recently benefited from infrastructure upgrades, including new computers, new 75” screens and air-con. The Computer Science department consists of four subject specialists. At KS3, students receive an hour per week of Computing, starting from year 7. At GCSE, we deliver the OCR specification, with healthy participation numbers. Our most recent GCSE results far exceeded national average. We have recently developed our offer as a department by introducing A Level Computer Science, of which participation numbers are also healthy.

CLEANERS

£11.95 per hour


Due to the cleaning contract coming in-house we are now looking for several cleaning staff to join our long serving and experienced team. You will assist the cleaning team to carry out and complete cleaning tasks as set by the school's standards and policies. The role will include all types of cleaning and you will be required to undertake a variety of duties to ensure the essential cleanliness and hygiene of the school. Applicants will need to comply with health and safety rules for safe working and chemical handling. Experience in this field would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.
